My Adventures in the Philippines 3 -Street Foods-

I love eating, so if I have the opportunity to try some food, I'll definitely eat.

I don't care if it looks good or not, I am really curious, so I'll eat.

The street foods in the Philippines are really good.

I'll introduce some of my favorite food.

食べることの好きな私はとりあえずなんでも食べてみます。

勧められれば見た目はどうであれ、気になってしまうので食べます。

フィリピンのストリートフードは本当に美味しい！

その中でも私が好きなストリートフードを紹介します。

The first one is called "dirty ice cream."

It's not really dirty, they just sell it on the streets hence the name.

They are selling around 10am till afternoon.

They are ringing the bells to attract the customers especially the kids.

They usually ride a bike or push the cart.

The combinations of ice creams are mango and ube,
mango and cookies and cream, or mango and pandan.
Mango ice cream is delicious, so it always comes together :)

まずはダーティーアイスクリーム。

別に汚い訳ではなのだけれども

道ばたで売ってるということでこういう名称がつきました。

朝10時くらいからお昼休みくらいまで売ってます。

アイスクリームはどうやら３時のおやつの食べ物ではないらしいことが発覚。笑

「チリチリチリチリ〜♪」というベルを鳴らしながら売ってます。

味は大体マンゴーとウベの2種類の組み合わせ。

またはマンゴーとクッキーアンドクリーム、マンゴーとパンダナス。

兎に角マンゴーは美味しいので必須らしい。

I love the combination of mango and ube♡

このマンゴー（黄色）ウベ（紫）の組み合わせが一番美味しい♡

It's hot outside, so they use this kind of beach umbrella.

暑いからこんな感じのパラソルを差して自転車または徒歩で移動。

It's 5 pesos each!!

1つ5ペソ（12円くらい）という手頃すぎる値段も素敵。

The next one is "taho."

They ususally sell it in the morning. It's one of the breakfast here.

They sell it saying "taho!"

Taho is made of soybeans mixed with "sago" (tapioca pearls) and "amibal" (sugar syrup).

It's warm and sweet food.

次はタホー。

こちらは基本的に朝しか売ってません。

おじさんが「タホーッッ」って言って歩いて売ってます。

タホーは豆腐とタピオカでできたつぶつぶに黒蜜シロップをかけた温かい食べ物です。

なんと豆腐を甘くして食べるとは！！

これこそまさに邪道！！

と思ったのですが、さっぱりしたプリンというかそんな感じでくせになる味です。

甘さもちょうど良くて美味しい。

朝ご飯として食べるようです。

In this kind of case, they put soybeans, sago, and amibal.

こんな感じの入れ物に豆腐とタピオカ、黒蜜が入っています。

It's like this. The texture of soybeans and sago are really nice.

出来上がりはこんな感じ。

豆腐もつぶつぶも美味しい。

If it's this size, 5 pesos one each, 

but if you use your own cup (bigger than this) it will be 10 - 15 pesos.

このサイズだと1つ5ペソ（12円くらい）

自分の大きめのコップを持って行くと10〜15ペソ（30円くらい）で買えます。

I already tried balut, unhatched chicken egg,

but I don't have a picture, so I'll post the pictures next time I eat :)

According to my husband, he never wants to eat it again. haha

実はすでにバルートというひよこになりかけの卵（見た目がとても気持ち悪い）

もすでに食べたのですが、写真がないので次回また食べたら載せようと思います。

ちなみに私の旦那さんはもう二度と食べたくないそうです。ははは。
